An 18th cent honeyed oak eight day longcase with brass dial signed Thomas Sharp, Leighton c. 1780, 12'' wide dial.
The arched top with dental moulding over fine blind carved rococo tracery , over arched dial with strike - silent flanked by two serpent spandrels & with very fine engravings.
The main dial cornered with rococo spandrels, silvered chapter ring with Roman inner and arabic outer.
The centre with further engraving , date aperture & scalloped seconds dial, silvered and engraved with a Tudor rose. Steel hands.
The trunk door with a crossbanded border.
Original lead weights and brass pendulum bob.
All in good original condition, fully serviced and guaranteed for one year.
This is a well finished and solid clock, keeping good time.
