Further decorated with copper plated hinges throughout the case and copper mounts to the feet. The beautifully carved box base with opening door with storage area.
The circular silvered brass dial with outer minute track and Arabic numeral chapter ring in a very distinctive style, signed to the dial centre Anton Rapf in Wien. The whole dial surrounded by a polished brass sight ring.
The fine quality eight day duration Grande Sonnerie striking triple train movement of the highest quality, striking on two blued steel gongs for the quarters and a single rod gong for the strike, strike silent facility. Deadbeat escapement, Harrisons maintaining power and slide best adjustment.

A superb quality pendulum of large and heavy design with a brass cased bob, silvered calibrated rating nut and blued steel pointer.
