Cross Antiques has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
The good quality, 8 day, five pillar movement strikes the hours on a bell. It has a very smart brass dial with date window and subsidiary seconds dial. It also has a strike silent selector to the arch.
The going train looks to all be there (but no guarantees). The strike/silent mechanism is also missing. It has a set of hands but probably not original.
The dial is 12” x 16.5”
