Description

An impressive French walnut mantel clock, made for the British market. It has a drumhead case with scroll sides, a breakfront base and block feet all in choice walnut. It has a thick bevel edge glass, a two piece enamel dial and a Brocot jewelled visible escapement and is signed buy the maker Henri Marc of Paris. It has an 8 day bell striking movement that sounds the hours and halves on a bell. It has its original numbered pendulum and comes complete with a period key. Henri Marc worked from c. 1800 onward.

Current Condition
