Fine 'Boulle' Clock

19th century
Description

A French 'Boulle' mantel clock of 8 day duration , striking hourly and half hourly on a coiled gong. The vitreous enamelled dial showing Roman numerals, polished blued steel hands and a cast brass decorative bezel surround. The case is typical of Boulle work, after Andre-Charles Boulle and has a good level of detail. Standing on 'C' scroll bracket feet and a fine cast gilded finial to the top . Made in Paris around 1880 stamped and numbered. It is worth noting that all our clocks have had a full dismantle / overhaul unlike many others for sale online and carry a full 24 month guarantee in writing, which adds to the value and longevity of this fine clock .
