Carse Antiques has dated this piece to the 18th Century.
Cluster columns to the hood and case. The base and trunk door with mirror matched flame mahogany venners. The long trunk door with great design to the top with curved moulded decoration. Canted corners to the base. The base section is all cross banded with a very intricate boxwood and ebony line inlay and boxwood fans to the corners. The case stands on very small plain type "feet". The case has its original oak back boards. The case is a gorgeous colour with rich and beautiful original patination.

The movement has been fully cleaned and repaired and is in perfect working order.
