The case is ebonised Pear wood. The full brass dial bears the oval cartouche of Edward Tutet, London who was made Master of the Clockmakers Company in 1786. He was a very well respected clock maker in London and worked in Fenchurch Street. This clock dates to around 1770. It's also worth noting, it has a very strong tick which some people find hypnotic!
