19th Cent Brass Four Glass French Mantle Clock

19th century
Description

A very attractive and good quality French mantle clock in the elegant four glass style. It dates from the 2nd half of the 19th Cent and is in good unrestored condition.

The case is in lacquered brass with bevelled plate glass panels. It has opening doors to the back and front.

The excellent quality 8 day movement strikes the half hours and hours on a coiled steel gong. It has a very attractive white enamelled dial with fine gilt hands and nice floral painting. It also has a mercury pendulum.
