Geo III 8 Day Longcase Clock, Henley on Thames

Description

A nicely proportioned Geo III oak longcase clock by James Coster of Henley on Thames, Oxfordshire. He is listed as working there from 1806.

The oak case is in good unrestored original condition and a nice mellow colour.

The 8 day movement strikes the hours on a bell and has a most attractive engraved silvered dial. It has a lovely set of all matching steel hands and the all-important strike/silent selector to the arch. It is in good running order with all functions working and keeping good time.

The maximum dimensions are:

219cm (86“) high

47cm (18.5“) wide

24cm (9.5“) deep

Free local delivery and set-up (75mls), national and international delivery arranged at cost.
