The case is in nicely figured mahogany with mahogany cross banding and boxwood stringing.
The 8 day movement sounds the hours on a coiled gong and the quarters on a nest of 8 bells. The attractive arched dial has a silvered chapter ring and gilt spandrels. To the arch is a selector for either Westminster or Whittington chimes.

The case is in good condition consistent with age and use. The movement is in good working order and keeping good time.
