A Louis Philippe Rosewood Mantel Clock

A French Louis Philippe two train mantel clock in rosewood, the plinth base with a panel of decorative and line inlay in box and rounded corners, the rectangular case with inlay to the front, sides and top, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals and pierced decorative gilt metal hands, the whole surmounted by a gilt brass handle. The eight day two train movement with outside count wheel and anchor escapement with brocot, striking the hours and half hours on a bell. Minor chips to the enamel at 6 o’clock and also around the left side winding hole. Fully serviced and in full working condition, with key and pendulum. French circa 1840.
