French Mid 19th Century Small Mantel Clock

A mid 19th century French mantel clock of small proportions in a pale oak plinth base, the stepped foot with rectangular side panels and shaped front containing the white enamel dial with Roman chapter in a brass glazed door, with moon hands, under a flat, shaped top. To the back behind a latched door the two train eight day movement striking the hours and half hours on a bell with outside count wheel and suspension spring pendulum with a brocot, the backplate stamped ‘Martin Paris’, French Second Empire circa 1870. Key and pendulum. Fully serviced and in full working condition.
