Worboys Antiques has dated this piece to the 1900s.
The reeded bands are also silver plated. It has an enamel dial with Roman numerals and five minute markers and moon hands. The top has a repeat button to sound the last hour (used to indicate the time in the dark). It has a 8 day movement with a lever platform that sounds the hours and halves on a gong.The movement is numbered 229.

Current Condition
The case has been polished and lacquered so that it will not tarnish, the movement has been fully serviced and is guaranteed for 12 months.
