English Regency Brass-inlaid Wall Clock

19th century
Description

A good quality early 19th century Regency period WALL CLOCK in perfect working order.

Of typical Regency octagonal shape, the rosewood veneered case is inlaid with panels of brass scrollwork, whilst the fusee movement is of eight-day duration and retains its original brass pendulum. The 10-inch convex dial is original as is the convex glass which is set within its cast brass bezel. Signed: John Parks of Prescott. 15ins wide; 6ins deep. (38 x 15cms)

***Jonathan Parks is recorded as working in Prescott (Lancashire) from 1819-1824.
