Description

Antique 1919 Paul Garnier Barrage silver pocket watch.

The watch has a high grade nicely jewelled stem-winding movement with micro regulator, which is working nicely.

Paul Garnier (1801-1869) was an a 19th century inventor, clock and watch maker who began in Paris in 1825. The Garnier company made watches up until the 1970s

The watch measures 49.3mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and has London import marks for 1919 with the importers mark for M Drayfus. The case is in nice condition with crisp engine turned detail to the back.

The watch lens is glass and is in nice condition.

The dial is signed Paul Garnier Barrage, Swiss made. The dial is in nice condition.

The watch has its original steel hands with some age related marking although in nice condition for their age.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
