9ct gold Shield wrist watch, 1945.

The watch has a 15-jewel Swiss hand-winding movement which is working nicely.

The watch measures 28mm wide excluding the winding crown and 28mm high excluding the lugs. Although it was a man's watch when it was made in the 1940s, when fashions were for smaller watches, it would today be classed as mid-size.

The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Chester 1945. The case is in good condition, as is the lens.

The signed dial is in its original finish and it is in good condition, perhaps just a little darkening.

A new leather strap has been fitted.
