The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1910s.
The chronograph has a high grade Swiss stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 51mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are Continental hallmarks inside the case back. The case is in good condition and the engine turned detail is still nice and crisp.

The watch glass has a couple of scratches and a little marking but not too detrimental.
The dial is signed S Smith & Son, 9 Strand, London... they were one of the largest retailers of precision and technical pocket watches of the period. It also has the model number 131, and the production number of 566.
A catalogue from the time recommends the 131 model for engineers and electricians.
The watch comes in an antique presentation box from a London jeweller but the name has been blacked out.
