Gents 1924 Silver Longines Wristwatch

Gents 1924 silver Longines wristwatch.

The watch has a 15-jewel hand-winding movement, calibre 13.34, which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Longines name and it also has the B&Co mark for Baume & Co, the UK importer of Longines watches.

The watch measures 34.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the articulated lugs. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the screw-on case back for London (import mark), 1924, together with the importers mark AB for Arthur Baume of Baume & Co. The case is in good condition, just a little marking to the side but nothing too serious at all.

The acrylic lens is in good condition.

The enamel dial has a couple of hairline cracks but not too visible to the naked eye, and an old repair around number 8. Blued steel hands, subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a vintage box from Yabsley Watchmakers & Jewellers of London.
