The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1930s.
The movement is signed Rands Lever on the ratchet wheel. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The brand name Rands was registered by Rotherham & Sons of London and La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1928.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the hinged case backs for Birmingham 1935 together with a case maker's mark for Aaron Dennison who supplied many watch makers with cases. The case back has a couple of shallow indentations but they are not too serious

The lens is in good condition.
The dial is signed with the details of the original retailer, C Spencer of Reigate. The dial is in lovely condition and has original blued steel Breguet style hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
The watch comes with a single silver chain, 33cm long including the T-bar and the clasp.
The watch and chain will be sent in a new presentation box.
