The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1930s.
The watch has a signed 15-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely. In the photo of the movement, you will see two empty holes...

The watch measures 25mm wide excluding the winding crown and 30mm high excluding the lugs... originally designed to be worn by a man, it would suit a slimmer wrist. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the hinged case back for London 1937. The case is in good condition, especially for such an early piece, with just a little unevenness to the back.

The lens is in good condition.
The signed dial is in its original finish, it has darkened with age but still easy to read the time. Original blued steel hands, subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch comes in a vintage presentation box from a Dewsbury jeweller.
