1925 Elgin pocket watch with chain.

The watch has a handsomely patterned stem-winding movement, grade 345 with sapphire and ruby jewels and Moseley regulator, which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and the serial number 27,461,250 dates it back to 1925.

The watch measures 44mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop so slightly smaller and more sleek than a standard 50mm pocket watch, in line with the fashions of the period. The case is very stylish being a combination of yellow and white gold filled. It is attractively detailed all over and is in good condition, just a little unevenness on the hinged back.

The lens is in good condition.

The signed dial is in its original finish and has stylised numbers, a reflective almost three dimensional centre, original hands and a single sunk dial.

The watch comes with a single chain, 37cm long including the clasp and the T-bar. The chain is two tone which ties in very nicely with the design of the pocket watch.

The watch and chain will be sent in a new presentation box.
