French Louis Xiv Style Boulle Mantel Clock

Description

A very good quality French Louis XIV style boulle natural coloured tortoise shell and engraved brass mantel clock with front and side pendulum viewing windows which show the inlaid floor and back door. The clock has bronze gilt ormolu mounts and moulds finished with a cherub finial to the top and a decorative brass dial with white enamel numerals.

The movement is a French eight day which strikes the hours and half hours on a bell with outside count wheel.

The clock movement has been cleaned and serviced.
