Description

An unusual late 19th century French "MYSTERY" CLOCK in full working order.

The clock, with its 'globe' applied with gilt mounts; numerals and gilded pierced hands, swings from side-to-side, apparently with no visible means of power. The timekeeping being adjusted by means of the grid-iron pendulum with counterbalanced bob whilst the eight-day timepiece movement is wound through the dial. 26ins high.
