The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1950s.
This particular watch has an automatic movement, calibre 19 AS, which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and the serial number 10,373,416 dates it back to 1957.
The watch is a good size at 35mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs.
The screw-on case back has the deeply engraved gold fish motif to the back. Originally there would have been a green enamel layer over the top of the fish but this has worn off over the years. The winding crown is a later replacement.

The lens is in good condition.
The signed dial is very handsome with applied faceted number markers, original dauphine shaped hands, and a brushed silver track that runs through the number markers and reflects the light. There is some fairly light freckling to the dial and a little darkening but overall a charming vintage appearance.
A new sports style leather strap has been fitted.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
