Cross Antiques has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
The makers name is faded but it is from Daventry in the midlands. The dial is in pretty good condition with some interesting painting. The black work is a little faded and could do with a bit of restoration.
All the functions on the movement appear to work including the moon and the date. It runs and strikes with pressure on the wheels.
The dial measures 14” wide x 20” high
