The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1890s.
The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch itself measures 49.5mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the three covers for Birmingham 1895 together with a case maker's mark for Rotherham & Sons. The case is in good condition with just minor markng from use. The front has Roman numerals filled with dark blue enamel set around a small lens.

The winding crown pushes in to release the front cover. Inside there is a glass lens which is in good condition.
The white enamel dial is in nice condition.
The watch has its original blued steel hands (including the special half hunter hour hand), a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
