Omega Military Pocket Watch, 1940s

The watch has a stem-winding movement, 38.5L.T1, which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Omega name and the serial number 10,042,912 dates it back to around 1944/45.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The nickel case is in good condition. The case back has the military arrow, the GSTP mark and the Q11593... Q was one of the prefix letters for Omega. The inside of the case back has the Omega triangular logo.

Omega were first contracted to supply the British Army during the first World War when they supplied motor vehicle clocks for army trucks.

The signed white enamel dial has sustained damage at numbers 4 and 10. Originally there would have been painted detail to the hands and numbers but this has been removed at some stage.

The watch comes with a leather albert.

The watch and albert will be sent in a new presentation box.
