Description

A 1946 mid-size 9 carat gold wrist watch with fantastic vintage character, with a bakelite presentation box.

The watch has a Swiss jewelled hand-winding movement which is working nicely.

The watch itself measures 27.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the articulated lugs so it is classed as mid-size. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside case back for London, 1946. Both the bezel and the case back are screw fitting, a good sign of a quality case. The case has light surface marks but overall the condition is good for a 1940s piece.

The lens is in good condition.

The dial has a few marks but not too detrimental at all.

A later leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a vintage bakelite watch case.
