The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1950s.
The watch has a 17-jewel hand-winding movement, calibre C11K, which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed with the Wittnauer name.

The watch itself measures 33mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the handsomely shaped lugs. The case is gold plated and it is in very nice condition. The stainless steel case back is signed inside.

The lens is in good condition.
The signed dial is in good condition. There is a date display, an early form of quickset where the hands are moved backwards and forwards repeatedly between midnight and 7.30pm until the desired date is reached.

The watch has a Longines Wittnauer leather strap. Longines bought Wittnauer in the 1950s although the two companies continued to trade under their respective names from their own factories.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
