Description

A gents Longines wrist watch, 1936.

The watch has a hand-winding movement, calibre 12.68Z, which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Longines name, and also B&Co for Baume, the UK importers of Longines watches. The serial number 5,445,497 dates it back to 1936.

The watch measures 30mm wide excluding the onion winding crown and 30mm high excluding the fixed wire lugs. The case is stainless steel and is in good condition with just general surface marks, nothing serious at all.

The lens is in good condition.

The signed enamel dial has some damage on number 10 and and there are a couple of faint hairline cracks. Originally there would have been infill in the hands and the numbers but this has been removed over the years.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
