Antique 1906 Waltham P S Bartlett Pocket Watch

An antique 1906 Waltham P S Bartlett pocket watch.

The watch has a good quality stem-winding movement with patterned plates, P S Bartlett grade, and it is working nicely. The grade was named after Patten Sargeant Bartlett who was one of the early employees of the Boston Watch Company which went on to become the Waltham Watch Company. He subsequently left Waltham to work for the National Watch Company at Elgin Illinois but eventually returned to Waltham to work as a salesman before opening his own wholesale business. The serial number on this particular movement, 15,077,186, dates the watch back to 1906. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 54mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is 14ct gold filled and was originally guaranteed to wear 25 years. There is some wear around the sides of the watch.

The acrylic lens is in good condition.

The signed double sunk dial is in good condition, just one short hairline crack underneath the subsidiary seconds dial. Blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
