An Antique Silver Omega Pocket Watch, C1900s

1900 - 1920
Description

An antique silver Omega pocket watch, c1900s

The watch has an Omega stem-winding movement which is working nicely. As with some early Omega movements, the signature and serial number will be underneath the dial. The movement is numbered 2098097 which dates it ti 1902/03. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch itself measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are Swiss .935 silver marks inside the back covers, with the early Omega stamp inside the back cover. The case has light surface marking from use and some mild bruising but overall it is in nice condition for a 1900s piece. the case back has stylish monogrammed initials.

The acyrlic lens is in nice condition.

As was so often the case, the white enamel dial has been left blank so the retailer could add their name if required. The dial has a couple of faint hairline cracks although hardly noticeable to the naked eye.

The watch has its original blued steel hands.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.

All of our watches are checked over before listing, and are also checked for accuracy which is usually within around +/- two to three minutes over 24 hours (unless otherwise stated), which is considered respectable for a vintage watch.

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
