Description

Gents 1950s Festina wrist watch.

The watch has a good quality 21-jewel ETA hand-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Festina name which was registered in 1949 by Charles Wilhelm of Festina SA, successors to Stüdi & Fils who first registered in 1902.

The watch is a good size at 36.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is gold plated and is in good condition with just light marking, nothing too serious at all. The signed stainless steel case back has some surface scratching. The winding crown appears to be a later plain replacement.

The lens is in good condition.

The signed dial is the real showstopper of this watch, beautifully detailed and with original hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute markers.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
