1940s Superva Pocket Watch and Chain

A 1940s Superva pocket watch and chain originally retailed by Eatons, a Canadian department store and also one of the most important retail businesses in Canada's history.

The watch has a Swiss Unitas 15-jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is marked as being Nickel Silver. There is a gentle indentation to the back, and general surface marks from use.

The acrylic lens is in good condition.

The dial is signed with the name Superva, the brand was retailed within Eatons department stores. The shaped blued steel hands are a particularly handsome feature of this watch. The dial has an indentation, just in from number 3, and some fairly light marking.

The watch comes with single chain, 23cm long including the T-bar and the clasp. We are not sure if the chain is original to the watch but they are certainly of the same period and the correct design.

The watch and chain will be sent in a new presentation box.
