I TARRY FOR NONE is carved into the hood top.

Attractively Carved Oak Longcase Clock Beautifully Decorated Brass Dial with Silvered Chapter Ring - Newby Kendal Westmorland (the Lake District).

The Newby Family operated in Kendal both individually and in Partnership. William (l) c.1760-1800. James (believed to be a son of William (l) c.1770-1800. William (ll) c.1800-1810. James & William (probably ll as James comes first) are listed as working together.

The 8 Day Striking Movement has been Checked, Oiled and Tested to be in Full & Good Working Condition.

Height 78.75 or 199.5cm - so will fit into most but the lowest of ceilings
