The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1950s.
Atlantic watches were very popular behind the Iron Curtain.

The Worldmaster came with Schild, ETA and Unitas movements, this particular watch has a signed Schild 17-jewel hand-winding movement, AS1188, which is working nicely.
The watch is an excellent size at 36.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is plated. The front is in good condition while there is some wear to the plate on the back of the watch. The plate on the crown has some wear too.

The lens is in good condition.
The signed dial has cross hair detail, centre seconds and outer minute markers. We suspect the hands might be later replacements. There is some marking to the dial but not too detrimental for a 1950s piece.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch comes in a vintage Atlantic presentation box.
