To the sides are "fishscale" panels and original brass ring handles and it is supported on its original compressed bun feet.

The 8-day movement with its shaped plates, strikes hours on a bell with the engraved signature to both the backplate and the dial. Original pendulum and "holdfast" screw. The engraved & silvered dial features useful "Strike/Silent" control to the arch. 15ins (38cms) high (excluding finial).
