Description

Antique silver half hunter pocket watch.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Elgin name and the serial number 21,185,635 dates it back to 1919. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch itself measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the covers for Birmingham 1906. There is a discrepancy in the dates of the case and movement which confirms that they are not original to each other. There is a slight indentation to the front and some unevenness to the back of the case. The front of the case has a small lens surrounded by blue enamel filled Roman numerals.

The winding crown pushes in to release the front cover. Inside there is an acrylic lens which is in good condition.

The signed dial has a short hairline crack just beneath the sub seconds dial but otherwise is in good condition.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
