The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The movement is signed James Walker, London, 15 jewels, Warranted English and it is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch measures 52.4mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Birmingham 1924 with a maker’s mark for the English watch case maker Aaron Dennison. The case has light surface marking from use and a slight unevenness to the back but overall the case is in good condition for a 1920s piece.
The lens is in good condition.
The dial is signed ‘To The Admiralty, James Walker, London’. It is in very nice condition and has blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
