Description

Gents Longines automatic wrist watch, 1955.

The watch has a 17-jewel automatic movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and the serial number 9,709,896 dates it back to 1955.

The watch itself measures 32.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is 10k gold filled and it is in good condition, just a line of wear to the rim on the back of the watch. There is some pitting to the steel retaining ring on the back of the watch. The winding crown is a later plain replacement.

The lens is in good condition.

The signed dial is in its original finish with crosshair detail, original hands, centre seconds and a minute markers ring. There is fairly light marking across the dial.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a vintage Longines presentation box.
