The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1890s.
The watch has a stem-winding movement, Ensign grade, which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and the serial number 7999237 dates it back to 1897. This movement was only made in a short production run of 10000 in total. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch itself measures 47.8mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop.
The case has light surface marks form use and a few small "dings" to the front and back covers but overall it is in nice condition for an 1897 watch.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside there is a glass lens which is in good condition.
The signed dial has a couple of faint hairline cracks but overall it is in nice condition.
The watch has its original blued steel hands.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
Price includes worldwide postage.
