Description

A most impressive mahogany longcase clock with a 3 train musical movement that dates from the 19th Cent. The case is in nicely figured mahogany, is excellent quality and has some nice inlaid details. It has some superb cast brass "gothic" sound frets to the hood

The good quality 3 train movement chimes the quarters on a nest of 8 bells and strikes the hours on a gong. There is a choice of either Westminster or Cambridge chimes and if you do not want to hear the chime there is a chime/silent selector to the arch.

The case is in good condition but it does have a fine shrinkage crack to the base which has been repaired and is not too noticeable. The movement is in excellent condition, keeping good time and with all functions working as they should.
