Masons Antiques has dated this piece to the 1880s.
A 12" dial with black Roman numerals, outer minute ring and nicely cut hands. A heavy cast brass bezel and bevel edged glass.

The chain driven, double fusee movement is one of the finest we have ever seen. It is of outstanding quality and has just been fully overhauled. It strikes the number of hours on the hour.
It has a nice narrow surround to the dial with a brass surround apperture to the lower half through which the pendulum can be seen working. It has a key lockable door to the base and glazed inspection doors to the sides.
Complete with original winding key (always a good sign) and obviously our usual 12 mths guarantee.
A very fine example of one of these relatively rare clocks.
All cards accepted.
