The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1910s.
The watch has a signed Swiss stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch measures 50.6mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the case backs for Birmingham 1919 with maker’s marks for Aaron Dennison of the Dennison Watch Case Company, a prolific manufacturer of cases for various watch makers. The case has light surface marking from use but overall it is in nice condition. The movement and case have the initials CB dated 1919.
The acrylic lens has the odd minor mark from use, barely discernible to the naked eye.
The watch has its original blued steel hands.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
