Antique silver Waltham Martyn Square pocket watch retailed by Fattorini & Sons of Bradford.

The watch has a key-wound movement which is working nicely. A winding key is included. The movement is signed Am Watch Co, Waltham, Mass, Martyn Sq and the serial number 2488667 tells us that it was made between August and November 1884. The movement was only made in small quantities with a total of 12953 made in total. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 52.5mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the case backs for Birmingham 1888 with a case maker's mark for Alfred Bedford, Manager of the UK arm of Waltham. The case has light surface marks from use but overall it is in nice condition.

The watch glass is in nice condition with only the odd minor mark from use.

The double sunk enamel dial is signed with the original retailers name Fattorini & Sons Bradford, it is in nice condition.

The watch has its original gold hands and blued steel sub second hand.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
