18th Century Oak Cased 8 Day Longcase Clock

Description

Lovely proportioned 18th century oak cased 8 day longcase clock by MICHAEL THORNE of SOUTH MOLTON. The oak case has walnut cross banding to the door and base with the original fretted section to the top of the hood. The clock has it's original base plinth which is nicely dovetailed at the corners. The clock has a 12" square brass dial with original movement which is in full working order having been fully serviced.

There is an old hairline crack to the base which is the only fault.

The clock is ALL original and is a nice pleasing colour. Has original weights and original pendulum and comes with original winding key.

Stikes on a bell.
