Masons Antiques has dated this piece to the 1890s.
It has a Grande Sonnerie repeat pull. The movement has just been completely overhauled by our BHI registered staff.

The clock retains it's original, huge winding key (always a sign that a clock has come from a caring home).
An arched brass dial with gilt spandrels, rise and fall, and STRIKE/SILENT subsiduary dials.A silvered chapter ring with black engraved Roman numerals and interspaced fluer-de lis markings and matted centre. Gilt cariatids to the canted corners, gilt, splayed bracket feet and additional gilt adornments to the lower half. The bevelled glass opening door has a complete gilt rope-work effect surround.
The polised ebonised case is in superb original condition and has arched gilt soundfrets to the sides. Shown dimensions include all finials.
An absolutely stunning clock.
