Description

A very smart mahogany longcase clock by Lawley & Co, Bath, Somerset. They worked there between 1819 and 1824.

The case is in beautifully figured mahogany and stands on its original bracket feet. The hood has ebonised fluted columns with gilt Corinthian capitals and some very nice quality carving.

The good quality 8 day movement strikes the hours on a bell. It has a very attractive painted dial with subsidiary seconds dial, date indicator and moon phase indicator to the arch.

The case is in good original, unrestored condition and a lovely colour. The movement is in good condition with all functions working and keeping good time.
