The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1900s.
The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working well.
The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50.6mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and is the Star model made by the Dennison Watch Case Company. The case has light surface marking from use but overall it is in nice condition. The small glass lens has light surface marking from uswe although very acceptable.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover which reveals a larger acrylic lens which is in nice condition.
The signed enamel dial is in nice condition.
The watch has blued steel hands designed so that the time can be read when the front cover is closed … with conventional hands, it would be impossible to tell which hand was which through the small lens.
