18th Cent Oak 8 Day Longcase Clock

Description

An elegant tall slim 18th Cent longcase clock. The case is in oak with walnut cross banding. It has some nice Georgian features and stands on ogee bracket feet. It is by Jonathan Simpson, but unfortunately there is no place name on the dial.

It has an 8 day movement that strikes the hours on a bell. It has an attractive brass dial with silvered chapter ring, a date indicator and subsidiary seconds dial.

The case is in good condition but does have a small section of banding missing from the base. The movement is in good working order and keeping good time.

The maximum dimensions are:

216cm (85") high

55cm (21.5") wide

29cm (11.5") deep
